The Dundas Hockeyville Legacy Project will be raising funds to complete the new second story community room and lounge above the current J.L. Grightmire Arena lobby.  In addition to the community room, one of the major projects that is included in our fundraising goal is the addition of an elevator to make the J.L. Grightmire Arena fully accessible.

The community room will be for the entire community to utilize. Local sports associations, service clubs, community groups and individuals will have the opportunity to take full advantage of this great addition to our community.

The community room will also include:

• The Dundas Sports Wall of Fame
• The Dundas Sports Education Centre – advanced technology tools to give minor sport associations the ability to run coaching clinics and team training sessions
• The History of Sports in Dundas
• Full viewing capabilities onto the ice surface

Other projects that have been completed by the Dundas Hockeyville Legacy Project:

• New arena lighting
• Marquee sign at the arena entrance
• New sound system

The City of Hamilton will play a significant role in breathing new life into the J.L. Grightmire Arena.  In conjunction with the Dundas Hockeyville Legacy Project, the City of Hamilton will be providing the following upgrades.

• New front facade including new Main Entrance
• Completely renovated Dressing Room level
• Upgraded washroom facilities
• Proposed all-season indoor walking track
